Yoel brings us from far Israel the tastes and the smells of the Oriental art of storytelling, from Turkey to Afghanistan, from Persia to Yemen, through folktales, songs and music. Dr. Yoel Shalom Perez, a researcher of folklore at Ben Gurion, is one of the leaders of the storytelling renaissance in Israel. Yoel's main area is the research of Jewish folktales, but he deals also with Arab and Bedouin folktale research.
