Passover Yizkor Services at 10:00 am
|
Speaker:
Each year on the final day of Passover Yizkor we expand our Yizkor service to include a Yom Ha-Shoah Memorial. Remembering the Holocaust at Passover is fitting since the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising took place on the eve of the first Seder, 1943.
Our decision to connect our remembrance of the Shoah with Passover emerged from the deeper questions: How do we celebrate the Festival of Freedom and deliverance from slavery in the post-Holocaust age? How should the Shoah be remembered? What is the message we want to give to future generations?
