MAZAL TOV TO HILLEL BECKER ON HIS UPCOMING SECOND BAR MITZVAH
Saturday, May 11, 2013.
There is a Jewish tradition that since the normal biblical life span is "three score and ten" (Psalm 90), which is 70, that if one can achieve the age of 83, an appropriate way of celebrating that event is to observe a second Bar Mitzvah. As Hillel will be celebrating his 83rd birthday in May, he is looking forward to commemorating this special birthday according to this Jewish tradition.
