FARBRENGEN-PROFESSOR EUGENE ORNSTEIN
Following Shabbat Kiddush on April 6
The title of the story Professor Eugene Ornstein will discuss is "Behind the Mask" featuring a short story and songs by An-Ski, the well known author of the Dybbuk. Professor Eugene Ornstein is a Yiddish scholar who taught in the Jewish Studies at McGill for many years. He will also be speaking about the life and thought of An-Ski during services.

EMPTY BOWLS IS CALLING ALL VOLUNTEERS!
Please help us make Dorshei Emet's next 'Empty Bowls' event, Sunday April 14th, 11 am to 2 pm, another rousing success.This year's beneficiaries include our own Hannukah Food Baskets project and Café Santropol.
'Empty Bowls' started in 1990 when a Michigan art teacher hit on a way to help students support a food drive: a class project to make ceramic bowls for a fund raising meal. Come one and all, and help us make this year's event the best one ever! Music, art, and camaraderie for one and all.

RE-ENGAGE WITH ISRAEL with the acclaimed Shalom Hartman Institute's video lecture series,"iEngage Israel". The iEngage curriculum elevates the conversation about Israel-rooting it in Jewish values and ideas rather than in a response to crisis.

A Yom HaShoah Commemoration Service will take place on Sunday, April 7 at 7:30 pm at Tifereth Beth David Jerusalem, 6519 Baily Road.
