CALL FOR HIGH HOLIDAY USHERS-WE NEED YOU!
Please help us to ensure that the High Holidays at Dorshei Emet are safe for everyone.  We are looking for volunteers to usher for 1 ½ and/or 2 hour time slot during the Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur services.  Please contact Mark Chernin if you would like to volunteer - mchernin@videotron.ca. There will be an usher's meeting on August 28 at 7pm at the synagogue. All ushers are asked to attend.

This is the second year that Ghetto Shul, a student run downtown community, is running a Jewish frosh at McGill. October 23 - November 4 at The Montreal Holocaust Memorial Centre.
This year, Various events will also explore the spiritual strength and resiliency through which individuals and families preserved their humanity and their dignity when faced with physical and spiritual annihilation.The program consists of various events in English and French - i.e. the launch of Azrieli Survivor Memoirs and short films at the Gésu Centre, Open House & guided tours of the Museum, films, discussions, lectures and a closing musical event.
