HANUKKAH FOOD BASKETS
Once again this year, Dorshei Emet will be putting together Hanukkah Food Baskets for those in our community who are in need. Please consider making a donation so that we can continue this important initiative. In 2011, 200 baskets were distributed at a cost of $36 per basket. Thank you in advance for your generosity.

What: Vegetarian potluck
When: Friday, November 16. Kiddush at 6:30pm

What to bring: Yourself, friends and a vegetarian salad, main dish or dessert (if in doubt go with a main dish)

SHABBAT AND ME
Our synagogue members have created a delightful new program for infants and toddlers. The classes will be filled with Shabbat inspired music, stories and free play led by Cantor Heather Batchelor. Daddies, Mommies, Bubbies &  Zaidies are welcome.

KABBALAT MISHPAHA
Come one, come all to a  warm and inviting Kabbalat Shabbat experience. Be entertained by our all congregant "Mishpaha Band" and enjoy a potluck dinner. Bring a dish to share and hallah, candlesticks and Kiddush wine for your family.
November 30, 6:30pm. New member families are especially encouraged to attend, as we will have a get-to-know after dinner session with our new children's animators Maya Amichal and Lainie Schwartz.

Esther Frank, lecturer on Yiddish literature at McGill Universtiy will present the story by Lamed Shapiro, Der Kush-The Kiss. English translations of the story are provided.
  
KEHILLAH CONVERSATIONS
Please join us on Wednesday, December 5 at 7:30pm for our first Kehillah Conversation on the topic of Social Action, introduced and moderated by Laura Winer. The focus of our first community town-hall will be on what kinds of social action or social justice efforts we would like to see our Shul endorse.

MORNING MINYAN
Minyan takes place every Monday and Wednesday morning at 7:30am, followed by breakfast. Monday is a traditional davenning and Torah reading. Wednesday is a Mindfulness Meditation minyan.
  
If you are saying Kaddish, observing a yahrtzeit, or marking a special occasion, please join us.  It is a wonderful way to start the week or the day in a warm and inspiring ambience among friends.
